VEHICLE COLLISIONS
Vehicle collisions are the case type where the difference between a simulation and an animation matters most. Vehicle motion here is not a matter of deciding where each car should go. It follows from measured inputs: mass and geometry, impact configuration, tire and surface properties, and the physical evidence left at the scene. Run those inputs through a physics engine and the trajectories are a consequence rather than a choice, which is a considerably easier thing to defend on cross-examination. We build from scene measurements, scan data, photographs, and the retained expert's reconstruction, and the deliverable identifies which values are measured and which are assumed. We are one of the few forensic animation firms with an ACTAR certified accident reconstructionist on staff. Examples are below, and you can get in touch to talk through your case.
