In this case, Crash Animation Studios prepared a series of illustrations for the defense in collaboration with the retained expert.
The exhibits depicted the injury mechanism, showing how the child occupant's restraint configuration during a frontal impact related to the face and neck injuries at issue. A companion set illustrated the occupant motion that would have resulted with proper restraint use, allowing the two scenarios to be compared directly.
The illustrations were built to the expert's specifications and follow the opinions disclosed in the case.
