Over-Correction and Multi-Impact Sequence Animation
A driver traveling at high speed lost control after over-correcting, crossed into opposing traffic, and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on. An approaching single unit truck then struck the vehicle in the side. The driver who lost control was killed.
We were retained by the defense to produce an annotated overhead visualization of the collision sequence. The animation was reconstructed from scene evidence, EDR data, vehicle inspections, expert reconstruction and depicts the vehicle paths leading to the loss of control, the head-on impact, and the position and timing of the subsequent side impact by the truck.
The case settled before trial.
