Fatal Collision at Night Involving Logging Truck Leads to Large Settlement
The driver of a logging truck, lacking proper lighting, drove his tractor-trailer from the shoulder onto a dark road. Due to the absence of appropriate lighting and warning markers, as well as glare from oncoming traffic, the driver of an approaching vehicle couldn't see the logging truck. This led to a front-to-rear collision that killed the driver instantly. The Crash Animation Studios team collaborated with both the Plaintiff’s accident reconstruction expert and the human factors expert to create an extremely powerful demonstrative aid for trial, illustrating the difficulty in seeing the intruding logging truck entering the roadway.
